2022 L’ouest Pinot Noir

L’ouest is the best barrels off of our Estate Vineyard in Ribbon Ridge called West Wind. The vineyard gets the name from the heavy western winds that blow over the site from the ocean. This vineyard is planted with 5 different clones of Pinot Noir and our winemaking strategy showcases the entire vineyard with the focus of the blend being a great representation of Ribbon Ridge AVA. The vineyard is all marine sediment soil and is organically farmed. We are very light handed in the winemaking to allow for the beautifully, complex vineyard to speak for itself in the bottle. The vineyard sits at 200-800’ in elevation and a range of topography to allow us to blend a complex vineyard specific wine.

Approximately 150 cases produced.

2022 Chehalem Mountain Pinot Noir

This Chehalem Mountains AVA Pinot Noir is crafted from grapes we source from beautiful nearby vineyards. Like our estate, we look to source environmentally farmed vineyards with exquisite vines. The 2022 vintage is 777 clone Pinot Noir from laurel wood soil along the Eastern edge of Chehalem Mountain AVA. Kissed with just a little whole cluster, this wine is all about the elegant chocolate covered cherry with a slightly peppery velvet finish. Aged in neutral French Oak for 12 months. Will cellar for 4 – 8 years, but is designed to satisfy that impatient wine lover in all of us.

Approximately 100 cases produced.

2022 Reserve Syrah

We love the contrast and food pairing versatility of the “warm climate” grapes from Eastern Washington. The Walla Walla AVA is a region with spectacular vineyards. We are honored to have access to the very special Les Collines Vineyard to make our Northern Rhone Style Reserve Syrah. Pinot Noir lovers will gravitate to this Syrah with an elegant presentation of luscious blackberry and stone fruits, just a touch of earth and subtle pepper on the finish. A pure expression of the vineyard, without being over ripened or heavily extracted. The Reserve Syrah Will cellar for 4 – 8 years, but is designed to satisfy that impatient wine lover in all of us.

Approximately 100 cases produced.

A bottle of Privé Vineyard Reserve Chardonnay wine with a white label, black text, a sketch of a house, and a red wine percentage of 12.5%.

2022 Reserve Chardonnay

Our flagship Chardonnay for Privé Vineyard. We sourced the 95 clone Chardonnay from an organic and sustainably farmed vineyard in the upper elevations of Dundee Hills AVA. The fermentation and élevage took place in one neutral French oak barrel and one new French oak barrel. The acid is well-balanced with the full, rounded mouthfeel and long crisp finish. The beautiful zest of the citrus chased by the fragrance and softness of melon and finishing with a touch of baked brioche.

Approximately 50 cases produced.

Le Nord is the north block of our estate vineyard. It is southwest facing at 600’ to 800’ elevation. Red raspberry and cherry at the entry and layers of spice, and tobacco fill the glass. This Pinot Noir is elegant with soft tannins and a silky finish. Shows beautifully in its youth, yet will age gracefully and develop great complexity for 8 to 10 years. Aged for 12 months in 35% new French Oak. The estate vineyard is 100% Jory soil planted with 42 year old Pommard clone.

Ruby Port

Our first year of making this authentic, Solera-style Port was 2002. Solera refers to an ongoing blend that offers depth, character and complexity that we might not otherwise find in a particular vintage. Each new batch is carefully crafted using the authentic practices of Portugal to increase the ongoing blend by 10% each year. The Pinot Noir grapes are left on the vine to ripen as long as is possible, then handpicked, destemmed and a fermentation begins. When the natural sugars have been depleted to the 8% level, brandy is added and the skins are pressed. Our Ruby Port is a perfect treat to end a wonderful dinner and because it is fortified it will stay fresh in an opened bottle for at least 6 months.
