Stepping onto the Privé Estate is like stepping onto a hillside vineyard in Burgundy. In keeping with our passion for Burgundian Pinot Noir that originally inspired the conception of Privé, we focus on minimal intervention so that the wines can reflect their terroir, giving them a distinct sense of place. The basaltic Jory soil is known for producing red-fruited, earthy, balanced wines.
The West Wind Vineyard, within the Ribbon Ridge AVA, is a bit more reminiscent of the Oregon Coast. A beautiful vista welcomes you to the windy knob along the ridge that is planted with 777, 115, Wädenswil, and Pommard clones. These clones love the beautiful marine soil and the western winds that cool the site down during the growing season.

2021 L’ouest
The 4 best barrels from our West Wind Vineyard. 2021 is the first vintage of L'ouest for Privé Vineyard. Soft raspberry fruit on the front palate followed by a gentle hint of tobacco and cedar. Showing great complexity for the age. Aged in 75% neutra French Oak. Blend of 777, 115, Wädensville, and Pommard clone Pinot Noir on sedimentary soil.
Only 200 cases produced.
2021 Chehalem Mountain
The Chehalem Mountains AVA pinot noir is crafted from grapes we source from beautiful nearby vineyards. Like our estate, we look to source old vine grown environmentally aware in Jory soil. Bright fruit, cherry pie and more tannin structure creates a wonderfully balanced wine. Aged in ~25% new French Oak for 12 months. Will cellar for 8+ years, but is designed to be drinkable earlier.
Winemaker Notes
2020 vintage was sourced from a vineyard a few miles West of our Privé Estate vineyard. The fruit was beautiful and protected by the natural topography from the dense smoke that plagued our area during harvest.

2021 Le Nord
Le Nord is the north block of our estate vineyard. It is southwest facing at 600’ elevation. Slight floral notes fill the glass and give way to fresh raspberry and blackberry. This Pinot Noir is elegant with soft tannins and a silky finish. Shows beautifully in its youth, yet will develop great complexity for 8 to 10 years. Aged for 12 months in 25% new French Oak. The estate vineyard is 100% Jory soil planted with Pommard clone.

Aged for 12 months in 25% new French Oak. The estate vineyard is 100% Jory soil planted with Pommard clone. The vineyard ranges from 500' to 600' in elevation allowing the wine to keep a great balance of acidity.

2021 Reserve Syrah
We love the contrast and food pairing versatility of the “warm climate” grapes from Eastern Washington. The Walla Walla AVA is a rising star region, with spectacular vineyards. We are honored to have access to very the special Les Collines Vineyard grapes to make our Northern Rhone Style Reserve Syrah.
Pinot Noir lovers will gravitate to this Syrah with it’s elegant presentation of luscious blueberry, blackberry, savory notes, with just a touch of earth and subtle pepper on the finish. A pure expression of the vineyard, without being over ripened or heavily extracted. The Reserve Syrah will cellar for 10 plus years.
